The 2006 i-wireless Football Tour schedule has been released and features seven playoff teams from a year ago along with six different Cincinnati leagues and two Northern Kentucky classes.

Northern Kentucky powerhouses Highlands and Dixie Heights collide in the season opener on Aug. 18.  Highlands advanced to the Kentucky Class 3A regional finals last year while Dixie made it to the Class 4A regional semifinals.

Ohio Division I state champion Cincinnati St. Xavier faces La Salle in a big Greater Catholic League South battle, Ohio Division V state runner-up Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy from the Miami Valley Conference takes on Taft of the Southwest Ohio Public League and Ohio Division I regional finalist Colerain hosts Princeton in a Greater Miami Conference tilt.  Division III regional semifinalist Indian Hill and DIV quarterfinalist Mariemont collide in a mid-September Cincinnati Hills League contest.

Joining Taft, La Salle and Mariemont as first-time hosts on the football Tour is Reading and Loveland.  In September Loveland plays Little Miami in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference tilt while the Blue Devils entertain Indian Hill in another CHL game in mid-October.

The Football Tour returns to Oak Hills for the first time since the inaugural season as the Highlanders host Milford in a GMC battle.

The annual Lakota West-Lakota East clash, one of the biggest rivalry games in all of Greater Cincinnati, closes out the schedule on Oct. 27.

Be a part of the action with live broadcasts from ABC Channel 9 television with sports reporter Lisa Cornwell and 97.3 FM Everything Alternative radio.  Both will be on-site before and during the game.
